UNDERSTAND YOUR SKIN

UNDERSTAND YOUR SKIN

A Letter to You, from Me

Hi beautiful, I'm so glad you're here. Maybe products you've trusted for years suddenly sting. Maybe your skin feels tight, dry, dull or uncomfortable — no matter how much moisturizer you add. Or maybe you've stood in front of the mirror and thought, "What changed?"

I've asked myself that same question. For many years, I lived with psoriasis. But what I remember most isn't the diagnosis. It's my pillowcase. Every morning, before I did anything else, I checked it. Tiny white flakes. Like snow.

Some mornings there were so many, I'd quietly strip the pillowcase before anyone else could see it. Before I'd even had my first cup of tea, my skin had already decided how I felt about the day. I stopped wearing dark tops. I kept a little distance from people, worried they'd notice the flakes. Looking back, I wasn't just hiding my psoriasis. I was hiding myself.

Then I moved from the Netherlands to the United States. New climate. Different water. A whole new environment. Within months, my skin was worse than it had ever been.

Then one evening, I put on what looked like a beautiful face cream.

A little while later, my husband, Ali, looked at me and asked,

"Are you okay? Did you fall?"

I hurried to the mirror.

A large reddish-purple stain had spread across my cheek.

The scary part? I hadn't even felt it happening.

That was the moment everything changed for me.

Skin damage doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it happens quietly, long before we ever see it.

So I stopped looking for answers on store shelves. I started researching instead.

Here's what surprised me most: the European Union has restricted or banned over 1,600 cosmetic ingredients. The United States restricts only a fraction of that number.

That cream I trusted? It was perfectly legal.

hat discovery changed how I saw skincare. It's not just about picking the right products. It's about understanding your ingredients — and your skin.

So I went back to school. I spent four years studying skincare formulation. Today, I'm a certified skincare formulator.

But more than that — I finally understand my own skin.

Healthy, balanced skin isn't built by using more products.

It's built by understanding your skin, and giving it the support it actually needs.

And sometimes, that means doing less.

That's the philosophy behind RAAH.

I wrote this guide because I don't want you spending years wondering what you're doing wrong.

hen you understand your skin, the overwhelm starts to fade. So does the self-blame — because your skin was never working against you. It was just responding to everything it's been asked to handle.

You deserve to spend less time worrying about your skin, and more time living your life.

On Monday I will send out the first video: “What Is My Skin Trying to Tell Me?”

Wherever you are on your skin journey, I'll walk it with you.

With love & gratitude,

Rehana
